Relaxing by the pool today (OK not that cool it is only a few feet across) I saw this dragonfly. First I have seen here. Nowhere near large areas of wetland but it got here somehow and seemed to be laying eggs on the water hawthorn.
If they hatch they will have company. The pond is still full of tadpoles. All still without legs but getting bigger daily
It has been an odd week. My younger daughter got a 1st for her Contemporary Art degree at Leeds Met. Went to see her work yesterday,excellent video showing on a tilted screen shown in the photo in a whole room deliberately trashed (like her bedroom at home. She worked hard for it

Late home on Tuesday because of the flash floods and looking after older daughters cats this week while she is in Holland. Odd having cats at home again. I have posted a photo of one of them. Cheeky things
